Nothing and Everything

with Rana Wassef

Nothing and Everything is a data collecting and archiving tool that can be used for absurd research by featuring matters using variable media like; sound, images and text.

we are ongoing and everlasting. we question the why and the reason behind the symbioses of information and randomness.

we exist simply because we want people to mindfully indulge on the wholesomeness of the research journey by going through an archive that goes against the ordinary methodologies. we are changing perceptions.

Chair Review
Dec 14th, 2022
A series of seating tools
and nothing else:

during a five day workshop with Patrick Thomas, we had to investigate and document (im)permanence. identifying a subject within a 550m radius area around Plaça Reial. the chosen subject had to be brought to public attention and preserved for future generations.

as you may tell, i chose the chair as my subject. you may ask why? well, someone needs to appreciate them, give them the love they deserve and that’s the whole point of this publication: a homage to this amazing object, my perceptive and speculative vision.

so basically this publication comes from a two hour long walk on december 14th of 2022, documenting and drawing the chairs i saw in the terraces around Elisava. easy peasy.

Vanilla Magazine

with Beau Van Gisbenger

Vanilla is a magazine that explores contemporary sexuality, embracing the beauty and banality of human desire. focussing heavily on fetish, Vanilla takes a specific theme in each issue and explores how seemingly non-sexual topics can be transformed into an erotic fantasy. Vanilla encourages its readers to find their flavor, making them “less vanilla”.

404 Festival
[Non]Classical Phenomenon

404 is a local initiative showcasing diverse artistic perspectives on contemporary life. designed to attract younger audiences to the Palau de la Música Catalana, 404 is a contemporary classical music festival in Barcelona that celebrates, educates, and highlights the evolution of classical music for new generations.

the visual identity hinges on the interplay between two typefaces—Acid Grotesk and Times New Roman—symbolizing the festival’s core elements: the millennial audience and the Palau de la Música. a vibrant and dynamic color palette unifies the design, injecting energy and reinforcing the festival’s bold, modern message.

a distinctive feature of the festival’s identity is the Excel sheet grid, chosen for its formal and structured connotation. this graphic motif mirrors classical music’s precision while emphasizing the festival’s overarching concept: adaptability within an outdated system.

‘404 error’, translated more colloquially, would be a communication failure between the host, in this case, Palau de la Mùsica, and a server, the Millennial Generation.

The Fungi Kingdom

with Enrique Antonio, Rana Wassef, Elena Arshakyan, Mark Schlikman and Serena Gramaglia

the common misconception about fungi is that they are disgusting but, can they be your bf? this project could be seen as ‘fungi for dummies: how to mushroom?’

but also, it is an exploration of the fungi kingdom, from breaking myths to showcasing the entanglement between us and them.

A very social interaction around objects

it’s a book about people and objects; about the interactions between humans and the everyday things around them. how these objects become part of our daily lives and, just by being there, leave an impact we hardly ever notice.
